Two photographers are represented in this photography exhibit. David Meyer, from Kingsburg, calls his photography, "What you Saw, but not the Same." He says, "Beauty has its many proponents and this is right and proper. However, my photographic passions are concentrated upon the ordinary. I attempt to use my photographic endeavors to capture the things that fly under the radar."
Richard Harrison, from Fresno, calls his photography, "The Middle Kingdom of California." Richard says, "Many of us, visitor and resident alike, view The Valley as a large swath of flat sameness, sandwiched between mountains and sea, The Bay and L.A. What we often fail to see is a region of limitless diversity and possibility. A place the rest of the world has chosen to come together and call home. A place both earthy, yet ethereal. A place both rural and urban reside. To reach The Middle Kingdome we need only to take the road that is seldom traveled, the road close by, but overlooked."
An artists' reception will be held in the museum's Heritage Art Gallery July 31 from 5 - 7 p.m. This reception is free of charge, and it is free to view the artwork inside the Heritage Art Gallery.
