The Tulare Historical Museum has a new exhibit coming to our Heritage Art Gallery from Nov. 6, 2014-Jan. 3, 2015. The Exhibit called “Paintings by Nadi,” is by local Three Rivers artist Nadi Spencer. There will be an artist’s reception on Thur., Nov. 6 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Heritage Art Gallery. This event is free to the public, and it is free to view the art work.
Nadi paints for fun, but also for a living. She has been painting for over 40 years. She PAINTS every day of the year. She is a full-time artist creating acrylic and watercolor art.
Says Nadi, "When I was much younger I dreamed of having EVERYTHING. As time went on I tweaked the details of my dreams. I started giving up things that weren't important. Who needs TV? My career and my dogs keep me busy. I've recently switched my focus to dog portraits, and business is booming. I still don't have television or a cell phone, and I walk to work. I love my family, my friends and my dogs. Life has weeded out the nonsense and left me with the stuff of my dreams." You won't want to miss Nadi's lovely artwork.
The museum is located at 444 W. Tulare Ave., Tulare. Hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Thursday - Saturday. In addition to our regular hours, we will be open the third Sunday of the month for free from 12:30-4:00 p.m during the months of September – May.
