Cosmetology
The cosmetology course is a 1600, 10-11 month program the focuses on beautification. You will develop a broad range of skills including haircutting, highlighting, coloring, updos, perms, etc. You will also learn how to preform spa manicures and pedicures, acrylics, waxing, proper skin care and facials, and so much more. Your creativity and imagination will be stretched, and you will be encouraged to grow as a person. This course will prepare you for the state board exam, as well as a career in the beauty industry. With your cosmetology license, you will be able to choose from a variety of jobs, from working in a salon, to being a stylist in a fashion show, to even owning your own business. The possibilities are limitless.
Esthetician
Estheticians, or skin care specialists, are the go to source for skin information. Whenever customers have concerns about their complexion, estheticians are there to help smooth out the problems. We train our students on how to work with each customer on an individual basis. If you enjoy relaxing environments and helping others, this is the career for you. Lawrence & Company College of Cosmetology of Beauty offers courses designed to teach you proper Esthetician Techniques, Best Practices, and Personal Service Skills. This course requires 600 hours of course work and normally takes 20 weeks to complete
Manicuring
This course involves about 10 weeks, 400 hours of nail technology fundamentals. This class encompasses manicuring, pedicuring, acrylics, tips, wraps, gels, etc. You will learn how to provide relaxing beauty treatments for the hands, feet, and nails. You will spend your time performing nail services on the student floor, as well as completing theory hours from our Milady textbook. Here, we will also make sure that you are thoroughly prepared for your state board exam at the end of the course. Our desire is that you receive the adequate education to begin your career as a nail technician.
Instructor Training
This 600 hour course is available for any licensed cosmetologist. You will be provided with the foundations of teaching and preparing students for a rewarding, full-time career. This course includes practical operations, and instructional teaching time. At the end of this course, you will receive a certificate of completion of the instructor training course.
Full-time schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 8:00-4:30
